Meet Our Team:

Lisa M Tonsfeldt:  Owner, CPA, CCIFP, CRIS

Lisa has practiced in both private and public accounting fields since 1997.  She purchased Morris & Co from Dennis Morris in September of 2012 and re-branded it as Morris & Tonsfeldt CPAs.  She has actively grown the business and continues to work on providing clients with excellent service and well qualified staff members. 

Lisa focuses on corporate tax preparation, compilations, reviews, audits as well as financial management services for the construction industry. 

Ms. Tonsfeldt is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) and a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS).  These designations recognize specialized expertise in financial management, risk and insurance, and establish one’s commitment to the construction industry through an ongoing education component focusing on construction.

She actively participates in the community and is currently serving as Treasurer of both Redlands Rotary and Colorado Canyonlands Association.

Lisa and her spouse are the proud parents of two teenage daughters active in band, sports and interested in studying other languages ( currently bilingual in Spanish and starting to learn German)…along with 2 grown sons, 3 grandchildren and various dogs, chickens, turtles and numerous bunnies.

Kemp Chistensen:  Accountant

Kemp has been in the public accounting field since 2011, and joined Morris and Tonsfeldt in December of 2013. Kemp prepares corporate and individual income taxes, as well as payroll and bookkeeping for businesses and individuals.

He started taking courses at then Mesa State College, but finished his degree online through the University of Phoenix. When it isn’t tax season, he plans to study for the CPA exam.

Kemp is a father of 4 and a husband of 15 years.  In his spare time, he enjoys participating in his kids sports activities.

Mimi King:  Bookkeeper

Mimi joined Morris and Tonsfeldt CPAs in January of 2017 after working for Jeff Wendland CPA as his office manager, bookkeeper and "everything else" staff for many years.  She is currently learning the ropes so that she can take over as Office Manager in May of 2018 when Linda retires to become her very part time assistant. Mimi will manage the office, schedule the appointments, do the billing and "everything else" the accountants can give her to do all year long

In her spare time, Mimi loves to garden.  Camping and fishing with family and friends is also a passion. Look for her on the weekends listening to her husband play in some of the local bands.
